Wow.

Dang.

NOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

Just 3000?

I am devastated. And I just wasted my first 2 reads of 2009 on not very good books, too.

Wow, Jessica. I am so impressed. 400! I wanted to read 75 this year and I think I have only made 40. I am resetting myself the goal for next year as I know what you mean about the list. At the rate I have read this year, it is going to take me almost 30 years to just read the books I have at home!

I want to take a leaf out of your book, but for book lovers like us I feel we should be allowed immortality, just so we have the chance to read everything we want to.

Heaven is a library!

This post was right up my alley. I'm trying for 400 this year, and I've already hit 375. All it's done, though, is make me wish I could read even faster, because my list is longer now than when I started!

Lifetime total so far: roughly 2300. Hmm, I hope that doesn't mean I only have five years left to live or something...

Looking forward to reading this work which is in the same genre as my own project. For some additional compelling reading from the WWI period, please stop by.

Hello. I’m sharing the library.

Do you know shahid Ayatollah Mutahhari? Have you ever read his books?
I put the link of 31 English titles of his books for download in: www.thepureislam.wordpress.com

If you know some other useful books in these issues, I ‘m waiting forward seeing your introduction…

Good Luck!!

Read this years ago and have never forgotten it. Reading it was truly chilling. Capote changed the course of American literature with In Cold Blood.
Nice article!

It was definitely meant as a joke. He even says 'it was just a joke!' on his website.

I thought there were several playful jokes actually, but this was the one that made me laugh out loud. Having seen Richard Wiseman perform, I suspect this goes with his sense of humour. Glad I wasn't the only one who noticed!

After reading that exact passage I had to Google and see who else noticed. At least with the search string "quirkology untesticle", very few results are returned. :( For what it's worth I agree that it's probably a playful joke included for those who noticed.
